About

Hello and Welcome to my blog!

My name is Hunter. I’m a 20 year old college student, currently living with my parents in Florida. Eww. . . I know, right? My mom’s not in the best condition right now, so I’m actually home to help out, not freeload. I work as a data entry specialist in a marketing firm. My favorite band is the Lafontaines. My favorite song is “Slow Elvis.” I believe dragonflies are lucky and paper flowers are better than real ones. I would describe myself as patient and creative, but my sun sign is Aries so . . . I’m also a bit fiery. I am the oldest of 5 (three girls and two boys). I’m the typical older sibling, I guess. Responsible, well-organised, thoughtful, strict, protective, etc.

I like to write fiction, non-fiction, and now I’m adding blogging to my repertoire. Reading is also one of my favorite past times. My favorite book is Anthem by Ayn Rand. I also read lots of YA fiction. Most recently I’ve been rereading Tamora Pierce and John Flanagan books. If I had to have a favorite non-fiction book, it would be Masters of the Planet by Ian Tattersall or Concealing Coloration in Animals by Judy Diamond.

My friend and ex-roomie, Sammi, and I wanted to do a blog together this summer, but our mutual schedules are incompatible. So we’ve decided to work on separate blogs and just post according to our own needs. You’ll see that I’ve linked her blog to the bottom of my pages. My sister is also going to start blogging, so I’ve linked hers there, too.

Slow Elvis, the blog not the song, is about anything I want or maybe anything the readers want, if I even have readers who will take the time to ask for things. I don’t have any set schedule for posting, so there may be a shit ton of posts on one day and none for the next month. It’s whatever suits my work and home life, I guess. I am hoping to keep this blog up for a long while, maybe even a few years. I don’t really know.
